Table tops range in size from 6 to over 20 feet in length, in width up to 41 inches, and are 2 ¼ inches thick. Sizes vary for each series. A range of table sizes are ready for finishing. Orders for sizes and grades beyond the blanks in stock will require additional delivery time to allow for finding the right log, cutting, drying, stabilizing and then table manufacture.

Douglas-fir is our primary species for table construction. It is a high–density softwood that produces a fine finish, is relatively hard, and stabilizes well. It has been the standard for timber construction in British Columbia for over 150 years, and is still the favourite for top-end timberframe home construction and interior finishing.

The quality and grades of table blanks varies based on the size, number of growth rings, knots, and rarity of the overall piece. As with size, a range of grades is available. The unique quality of Weatherston Tables is the massive size of the single piece table top, showing grain and colour patterns hundreds of years old. We recommend design options that retain these natural features. Table edge profiles and shapes can be requested, as well as specific finishes. Conservative centerpiece inlays of granite (as shown at right) marble or glass may compliment surrounding architecture, or company logos can be etched into glass or rock inlay. Power plugs, phone jacks and internet connections, for boardroom, presentation or serving tables, can also be installed. | | | Base Design | 
The base provides a great deal of opportunity for custom design, as it can incorporate many different features. The legs can be created to match surrounding timber frame style, and can include combinations of wood, rock glass and metal. Wood and rock carving can be incorporated into the components as well. | | | Chairs, Sideboards, Hutches and Other Furniture |
